The chloramines (mono-, di-, and tri-chloramines) are created by a chemical reaction between chlorine used for the water disinfection and organic materials which are unavoidable in pool water.

The ultra-violet radiations are used in combination with a reduced amount of chlorine. The combination of these two elements enables the reduction of the chlorine dose required for the water disinfection, which also reduces the negative effects of chlorine on health. This will of course also increase the disinfection level and the water cleanness. Indeed, one should not underestimate the amount of illnesses contracted in public swimming pool water.

The high intensity arc tubes on a large frequency spectrum (UV-C lamps of Medium Pressure and MultiWaves type) enable a strong chlorine reduction, which will provide the swimmers with a peaceful and healthy swimming experience. Once the UV water treatment is completed, the chloramines levels are so low that it is  unnoticeable (<<< 0,3 mg/L).
