On 4 June 2021, EUFOR INTER commissioned an ultrapure water production skid as a subcontractor for its historical partner HYLINE (Eiffage Energie Systèmes) on the new "Nevoline Upstream" UNIVERCELLS / EXOTHERA site in the industrial zone of Jumet.

This new biotech plant will very soon ensure the GMP production of viral vectors used in particular in vaccines against Covid-19, but also become the preferred mode of administration of genetic therapies, a segment of medicine in full development.
 
EUFOR INTER treats pure water with a conductivity of 0.116 μS (previously treated city water, either filtered, softened, activated carbons to remove chlorine and then reverse osmosis) to make it ultrapure water by disinfecting it with ozone (O3).

In the test phase, EUFOR INTER increased the ozone concentration from 0 to 300 ppb in 2 hours, which amounts to sterilizing the water for use in GMP manufacturing in clean rooms.
Before introducing the sterilized water into the production loop, the O3 gas dissolved in the water is removed at UV.
Thanks to the high performance of Hanovia UV (Hanovia de-ozonation) reactors the O3 concentration is reduced from 300 to< 1 ppb en 15 minutes…

The treatment process is controlled by precise and adapted instrumentation, namely ozone analyzers (Orbisphère) before and after UV and measurement of TOC.

The skid is equipped with a tubular exchanger in order to maintain the water temperature at 20 ° C, a recirculation pump, control valves and sterile samples taken.
